An open letter to San Franciscan weather
Dear SF microclimates,
A couple days ago I was hiking on Angel Island and you burned my face, including my eyelids. I still look like I’m wearing pink eye shadow today. That was fair enough…I didn’t wear sunscreen and I got what was coming to me.
Yesterday, in Sunnyvale where I work, it was really hot. On my way home, I took my car to the car wash and drove away with it nice and shiny. Upon entering the city, it was extremely windy and misty, but I thought “Eh, it’s not like it’s raining or anything.” Then in the middle of the night I woke up to rain. RAIN. It hasn’t rained for months…and you wait until the day I got my car washed??? Well, screw you.
Yours,
Young
P.S. It feels like fall today. I like that, let’s keep it that way.
